The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday,  received the President of the African Development Bank, (AFDB) Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina and his wife, Mrs. Grace Akinwunmi who were at the Government House, Marina on a courtesy visit.

Sanwo-Olu on the achievement of Dr. Akinwumi disclosed that he “has represented Nigeria well globally. At the AfDB, he has worked with governments across Africa to support projects with huge impact on the people especially in the area of food security and agro-processing.”

Sanwo-Olu expressed opinion over AFDB president’s strides: “We are particularly happy with his achievements.

“During the visit, Dr. Adesina also praised the giant strides our administration has made in the past three and half years towards achieving our objectives of a Greater Lagos that will continue to improve the lives of Lagosians.” He added

In the same breathe, Dr. Akinwunmi responded to Sanwo-Olu’s appreciation stating: “Thank you Governor of Lagos State @jidesanwoolu for your warm reception when I visited you today. I enjoyed our discussions on urban development and all the giant strides you have been making.”
