THE ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY 2025 WILL NOT HOLD!

The Ritual of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day in the month of January every year has lost its value. It was usually the first event of the year to celebrate, appreciate and commemorate military service and honor veterans.

The twists and turns over the years have led many veterans to hate the date that, their trauma is aggravated and hopes fall apart in dire straits of health problems!

The twists and turns, the catastrophic loss and the roles of the office of the CDS the MoD in collaboration of/with, the failed Nigeria 🇳🇬 Legion, a parasitic parastatal, bedeviled by poor, myopic leadership and lack of purpose in its current structure and statutory responsibilities, has continued unabated for deep political manifestations in negligence of innocent veterans, patriots and sacrificial servants of their country in desperation and death!

We still believe, out of deep rooted loyalty, discipline and integrity, that one day, a government will be voted in, that will revive and restore order in the January armed forces Remembrance Day saga. We hope and pray, that one day, we shall see a Remembrance Day for veterans who will be given the following opportunities:

1) Free Education for Veterans Children in maximum of 4, to university level.

2) A medical 🏥 care to cover advance ailments such as eye 👁 operations and heart disease and liver failure management, arthritis, etc.

3) A bold banner at ALL Airports, Train stations and Waterways Transport Centers, with VETERANS ~THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, with a special waiting room to meet ourselves and PERMISSION TO BOARD FIRST, as seen in global best practices.

4) We want to see DISCOUNTS in ALL purchase’s portal and platform with a column to capture your veterans ID to enjoy hotel 🏨 discounts, airlines ticket sales portals and other areas like securing a loan from a bank, Real Estate 🏡 buying a land or a home, etc!

5) We want to see the ADVANTAGES of our children and wives WHO QUALIFIES, to be given the opportunity of first consideration for Government Jobs, scholarships grants and other benefits! Stop 🛑 giving veterans and soldiers widows bags of rice and petty cash as recognition, it’s an insult to the dead military personnel!

6) The Judiciary, should please, use the January Armed Forces Remembrance Day commemoration to EXPEDITE JUSTICE on all the Terrorism cases before them, especially those that have killed innocent patriotic soldiers in combat. Sentence them to death and carry out their executions without any fear or favour in political or religious connotations!

Can these be considered, achieved? Yes! and Yes!! But then, the taste of corruption and illegality is so difficult to resist! Who does the AUDIT for this yearly event? Who asks for ACCOUNTABILITY? Who? When? How?

The sin of illicit connivance in the crime of diverting money to personal interests and cartel members involvement is not an easy thing to disband. From this money gotten from all over the world and from within the country, a few groups of people use it to pay their children fees in foreign countries and buy tickets for their annual holidays abroad and others buy houses abroad. It is a huge deal for the unforgivable sin!

Who will bell the cat and rescue military veteran community in Nigeria 🇳🇬? Don’t we know what POSITIVE IMPACT it will have on the serving troops? Their loyalty and dedication to their mission service to the country ?

What government will bell this arrogant and corrupt cat? Restore our dignity and grant us the approval for the VFN~ VETERANS FEDERATION OF NIGERIA 🇳🇬!
