BRITISH JOURNALIST APPRECIATE RUSSIAN PRESIDENT FOR GRANTING HIM ASYLUM

British journalist Graham Phillips, who has been covering events in Donbass since 2014, has in a telegram post thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for providing temporary asylum in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Irina Volk, a representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, revealed that Phillips had received temporary asylum in the territory of the Russian Federation.
The British journalist who exposed that the government tried to “raid” his house in London expressed his feelings over his Russia documentation and the freedom to work without being afraid.
“Thank you so much to everyone who supported me, who supports me during this difficult time. Thank you very much to Russia, (to the President of Russia) To Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin) for now giving me a document that means I can continue to live, live in Russia, do my reporting from Donbass – something I love to do.
“For me, this is not just a document, it is a life document, and I will be grateful for it all my life.” the journalist added.
The British also stated that his family was being persecuted in the UK, they had received threats. He noted that the British government blackmailed him to change his job, promising that sanctions would be lifted from him. Phillips wrote that he would rather die than do this.
In 2022, Phillips was on the list of people who fell under UK sanctions in connection with the situation in Ukraine, he previously worked as a freelance correspondent for RT in Ukraine.
