BURKINA FASO TAKE CENTER STAGE AS ITS BECOMES THE FIRST COUNTRY TO QUALIFY FOR AFCON 2025

Burkina Faso becomes the first country to qualify for the African Cup of Nations 2025, they will join Morocco who already booked its place as the hosts, as one of the 24 countries to take part in the prestigious tournament set to take place from December 2025- January 2026.
Goals from Mohamed Konate and Bertrand Traore took them to the top of Group L with ten points and by so doing ensuring the Burkinabe’s place in AFCON 2025.
Senegal are 2nd in Group L with 7 points and a win against Malawi on Tuesday could see them join the Burkinabe in the group stages of AFCON 2025.
Burundi remains rooted to third place with three points from four matches, they will need favours from Malawi to keep their qualification hopes alive.
They face Malawi next on the 11th of November 2025 in a game that might make little or no difference in their pursuit of a place in AFCON 2025.
