Iran supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Friday extolled the missiles thrown at Israel, affirming that it’s ‘vital service to the entire region and the entire Muslim world.’
Recall on Tuesday, Iran launched at least 180 missiles at Israel, the latest in a series of rapidly escalating attacks between Israel and Iran and its allies that threaten to push the Middle East closer to a region wide war.
Khamenei while referring to the Lebanese and the Hezbollah youth as his children, applauded their devotion to the cause stating that it’s required of ‘Islamic Ummah,’ while declaring that there is need to avenge the wounded and dead Lebanese.
“The consequences of killing civilians & bombardments is an increase in people’s anger & motivation, the emergence of people willing to sacrifice their lives & a tighter noose around the neck of bloodthirsty Zionist wolf, which will ultimately lead to the elimination of its existence.
“It is our duty and the responsibility of all Muslims to repay our debt to the wounded, bloodied Lebanon.”
He went further to state that Israel is barely standing firm even with the support from its US ally and encouraged more attack on the nation from various groups. In his words:
“The insistence of the US and its allies on ensuring the safety of the usurping regime serves as a cover for their lethal policy of changing the [Zionist] regime into a tool for seizing all the resources of this region.
“Their policy is to turn the Zionist regime into a gateway for exporting energy from the region to the Western world and importing goods and technology from the West to the region. This ensures the survival of the usurping regime and the entire region’s dependency on it.
“Every blow to the Zionist regime by any individual or group is a service to all of humanity. The Zionist regime is fallacious and unstable. The Zionist regime has only managed to stand on its feet with difficulty with US support.
“Despite spending billions of dollars in Gaza & Lebanon for a year & US support, the enemy has failed in confronting several thousand fighters, who are besieged & blocked from receiving any assistance from the outside. The only thing it’s done is bomb an unarmed population.
“Today, even the Zionist criminal gang has gradually come to the conclusion that they will never triumph over Hamas and Hezbollah.
“You, the resilient people of Lebanon and Palestine, who are courageous fighters and patient, appreciative people, know that these martyrdoms and spilled blood will not weaken your movement. [On the contrary], they will strengthen it.
“Resistance will not retreat as a result of these martyrdoms. The Resistance will be victorious. The Resistance in Gaza has captured the world’s attention and brought honor to Islam. In Gaza, Islam has stood firm against all that is evil and foul.
“The primary cause of war, insecurity, and backwardness in this region is the existence of the Zionist regime and the presence of governments that claim to seek peace and calm in the region.”
Iran is Hezbollah’s main backer and has sent weapons and billions of dollars to the group.
