A Nigerian woman with the handle @puffypearl on X social media has raised a yet to be found allegations against God is Good Motors (GIGM), an African mobility company.
She stated that alleging that passengers on a GIG Motors bus traveling from Port Harcourt to Abuja were kidnapped, with only the driver returning to the destination, accusing the company of withholding crucial information about the incident.
Her post read: “GIG passengers en route from Port Harcourt to Abuja were kidnapped, and only the driver returned with the bus.”
The social media user went further to disclose that the transportation company has refused to make public of the incidence, neither was the identity of the driver revealed.
In her words: “GIG is protecting the driver from giving an account. No police report or social media updates 💀😭. Interesting times.”
A video accompanying her post showed a heated confrontation between the woman and GIG Motors staff, where she accused the company of protecting the driver and withholding information about the missing passengers.
However some of the post under her twit stated, if the allegations were to be true, then she shouldn’t lay the fault at the door step of the mobility company, rather than an insecure nation that the government has provided.
And that releasing the driver is sending message to the company, as his release held significant meaning.
@GabrielAdakole8: “People here say tins d have little or no knowledge about. Why don’t people ask why kidnapping or robbery on the highway mostly happens som kilometre b4/after a checkpoint Have we ever asked why d have nt been apprehended Me & u know wat our security operatives r capable of doing.”
@dantaskar: “Why shouldn’t you accuse the chief security of the country? Why must you accusing the driver with every topic pointed? Sometimes we gat to reason faster, by knowing that this country don turn to sports bet, when you go out and come back, that means you don’t win, but if you didn’t.”
@obaoyedotun: “Letting the driver go will carry the news faster than letting just a random person go. Identifying a GIG driver breaking the news is easier than a random passenger who just came to pick bus. Not exonerating the driver of any misdeeds if possible.”
Some alleged that such similar occurrences have happened before, with the company sweeping it under the carpet.
@StarBede: “This same thing happened in February this year.”
@Maccoyjamiu: “Hmmmm You just reminded me of something I have been memory-holing for months now I lost a dear person to GIG motors, everyone died in the bus and they didnt inform relatives until two days later when we started searching. That was how I lost my Emmanuella. I refuse to say negative words to them.”
@GloriaOgu3: “The management of the company must be held accountable for this and they must provide all the passengers with immediate effect; nonsense!”
@fahyiee: “Funny how my family friend had this same ordeal with GIG, their driver followed a route that kidnappers access easily, their saving grace was army officials that stopped them before taking that route, all of them gave the driver the beating of his life.”
