THE FIORENTINA-AC MILAN CLASH; A CLASH FOR AGES- PENALTIES, GOALS AND RED CARD CHAOSBy Ibidunni Doyinsola

Fiorentina made it two wins in Serie A with a victory against AC Milan at their home ground, the Stadio Artemino Franchi in difficult circumstances.
Fiorentina had the chance to draw first blood in the 20th minute when the referee awarded a penalty for a foul on Dodo but Moise Kean was denied by Mike Maignan. Fiorentina two summer signings Yacine Adli and Robin Gosens combined together to give Fiorentina the lead with Adli scoring the goal and Gosens proving the assist. AC Milan had a penalty in the first half, Theo Hernandez took it but was denied by David De Gea.
AC Milan had another penalty in the 56th minute this time the taker was different, Tammy Abraham but the outcome was the same has he was denied by De Gea. Hernandez made amends for his penalty miss in the first half by creating Christian Pulisic’s goal in the 60th minute which levelled the tie.
Albert Guomundsson gave Fiorentina the lead in the 71st minute which would be enough to give La Viola the three points. The action didn’t end there has there was still more action after full time,Theo Hernandez was sent off for an abusive language towards the referee.
Fiorentina are unbeaten in 11 of their last 12 home games in the league. David De Gea was given the man of the match award for his heroics in the game, he became the first goalkeeper to save multiple penalties in a single Serie A match in the last nine seasons.
