CAF has officially unveiled the final five nominees for each category in the men’s division of the 2024 CAF Awards. Among the highlights, five coaches have been shortlisted for the prestigious Coach of the Year award. The nominees are Pedro Gonçalves, Emerse Faé, Marcel Koller, Hugo Broos, and Sébastien Desabre.
Notably, Nigeria’s William Troost-Ekong was excluded from the Player of the Year category, despite an impressive performance at AFCON 2023, where he scored four goals and contributed to four clean sheets for his team.
