Nigeria Played Goalless Draw in First Leg of the African Nations Championship Qualifiers

Nigeria played out a goalless draw in the first leg of their CHAN Qualifiers against Ghana. The match took place at the Accra Sports Stadium in Accra, Ghana.

After the game, Daniel Ogunmodede expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance. He stated:
“I am satisfied with the draw. Now it is for us to qualify for the CHAN. Qualification will add more value to our league, the players, and the indigenous coaches.”

The captain of the CHAN Eagles, Nduka Junior, also shared his optimism ahead of the second leg, saying:
“We hope to consolidate on the result in Ghana in the second leg.”

The second leg will be played in Uyo, Nigeria on Saturday 28th December 2024, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

The winners after the two legs will advance to the 2024 CHAN, set to be held in February across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
