‘The Time for Lamentation is Over The Time to ACT is NOW’— President Tinubu

The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in short post on his verified X account stated that there is no cause for the citizens to lament anymore but rather to act, as the government is geared toward promoting private sector which will in turn boost the dwindling economy.
Tinubu who has presented to a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, the 2025 budget of Restoration said the budget aims to bring down inflation from its current 34.6 per cent to 15 per cent next year.
He said the 2024 budget has successfully invested in the Nigerian youths, facilitated social orientation and created employment opportunities for Nigerians. He said the reforms under his administration has started to yield positive results
The President exposed that the 2025 budget seeks to ensure macroeconomic stability, poverty reduction, promoting economic stability and developing human capital development. He said the budget is necessary to secure Nigeria’s ambition.
The president had listed highlights of the N49.7 trillion budget to include defence and security – N4.91tn, infrastructure – N4.06tn, health – N2.4tn, and education – N3.5tn, among others.
President Tinubu said the time for lamentations on Nigerians challenges is over and that this is the time to act to change the country to better.
He alluded that as the president, he is committed to ensuring peace and development of the country.
His post read: “A time to support and promote greater investment in the private sector. A time for our civil servants to faithfully execute our policies and programmes.
“It is a time for EVERY NIGERIAN to look hopefully towards a brighter future because a new day has dawned for us as a nation. As your President, I remain committed and resolute to continue to lead the charge.  
“This 2025 budget proposal lays the foundation for peace, prosperity, and much needed hope. It is the plan through which a Nigeria where every citizen can dream, work, and thrive in safety can be achieved.” He added
