Nollywood seemingly seems to be filled with innuendos, bitterness and disappointment as some of its producers got disappointed over their movies’ figures.
Toyin Abraham, the producer of ‘Alakadabadandboujee’ on her Instagram post, indirectly stated that her counterpart newly released movie ‘everybody loves jenifa’ by Funke Akindele grossing 511 Million and more is doing well at the cinemas because of the incentives she gives her fans.
The producer while appreciating her fans had stated: “without expecting gifts or inducement at the Box office to buy our tickets, you have stood by us and we are deeply grateful.”
However, some social media users won’t let her statement sit without responding to her allegations. After more than enough backlash at her, the movie producer came back with another post stating that her statement has nothing to do with ‘shade.’
She went further to add that thanking her fans was her goal and not to shade anyone has her movie was made with love and it was in that manner that those who loves her, went ahead to the cinema to watch without asking for incentives.
