Following Nigerian Afro beat legend musician, Innocent ‘Tuface’ Idibia’s divorce announcement to his wife Annie, there has been an unconfirmed news coming from Stella Dimoko Korkus –SDK– blog that the estranged wife has landed in a rehabilitation center.

Stella stressed how bad the actress’s condition was, revealing that singer Tiwa Savage and media personality, Toke Makinwa are supporting and taking care of Annie during her trial.

SDK post reads: “Actress Annie Idibia is in a very bad state and allegedly currently in Rehab. Insiders reveal that it is very very bad and the two people allegedly currently taking care of her are Singer Tiwa Savage and Media Girl Toke Makinwa….. May God heal her…”

Recall that the popular Nigerian singer Idibia popularly known as 2Baba or Tuface in an Instagram post on Sunday night disclosed his divorce.

Shortly after, the post was deleted with another post stating that the Nigerian renowned singer’s account was hacked however, the musician made a video confirming that he made the post, his account wasn’t hacked and that the couple have filed for divorce.

The announcement triggered different reactions from fans and friends of the couple, dividing their camp into two as some netizens chose whom to back and encourage.

Toke Makinwa, a popular Media personality and show host seemed stunned and couldn’t help but spit fire at Tuface for making such announcement on social media, she insisted that the manner in which he did it was unwise.

“This is wrong on all levels and you should be ashamed of yourself for bringing this here. Bring it on, if you think she’s alone let me tell you here that you’ll have to f!ght all of us” Makinwa’s post read

The couple had a star-studded wedding ceremony in March 2012, an event which was widely followed in Nigeria even though it took place in Dubai and had renewed their vows in 2022 when the famous singer re-proposed to his estranged wife on a reality TV show “the Young, Famous and African”

The artist had asked Annie to be his wife again for the next 10 years and she had tearfully replied that she wants to do forever with him.

However, the forever has become a mirage as the couple could no longer hold down the forte, even with their fans taking sides and biting off each other’s heads .

Actress Mary Njoku had sent stern warning to 2Baba over his treatment to his wife Annie, threatening him to be prepared to answer question when the time comes. 

@ingydeca condemned the artist’s action: “Are you seeing an example of what happens when you are partnered with someone who is unkind? At a time when Annie is already the butt of jokes, this man chooses to publicly announce a divorce, something that could have waited. With all due respect, 2face is foolish.”

The beloved Annie is not the only one getting support from online friends as some have pitched their tent in Tuface’s camp, stating that there’s more to the musician’s statement, empathizing with him for having stick to the marriage for 13 years plus.

Though there had been alleged accusation that Annie is on drugs, this came about when her husband had called into the show and her mannerism and disposition was unstable and this news is definitely sending her down into a black place

The couple have two daughters together, though Annie recently announced on the reality TV show that she had a miscarriage.
