Nigerian midfielder Ngozi Okobi has signed with Canadian side Ottawa Rapids FC, reports Pooja Media. The 31-year-old returns to football after the birth of her child

Okobi has won four Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles with Nigeria and has appeared twice at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Ottawa Rapids FC announced Okobi’s signing on their official Instagram handle: “Join us in welcoming Ngozi Okobi-Oke to Ottawa! Played in 2 World Cups with the Nigeria women’s national team. Won 4 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles. Played at the club-level in the USA, Sweden, and Spain. Get ready for rapid change with our very own Super Falcon this season!”

Okobi will hope her experience to boost the team’s performance in the league. Her journey, from pregnancy to delivery and now returning to football, is  a story of determination, strength, and courage.
