The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu sent his condolences to the family of the people affected by the American Airlines Plane that Collided with a Military helicopter in Washington, D.C. in the early hour of Thursday.
The plane that collided in midair with a military helicopter and crashes into the Potomac River had 60 passengers, 4 crew members were on plane, while 3 US soldiers were on the helicopter
President Tinubu who had posted on his X social media platform, on behalf of his country expressed sadness over the incidence stating: “I extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the people of the United States, and all affected by this profound loss. I commend the courageous efforts of first responders and emergency teams for their selfless work in harsh conditions.
“Nigeria stands in solidarity with the United States Government and its People, united in grief and hopeful for a new day.”
According to local media, a total of 18 bodies have been recovered so far.
