Bellingham Handed Two-Match Ban for Alleged Comments Toward Montero

Jude Bellingham has been suspended for two matches following his alleged comments directed at referee José Luis Munuera Montero.

The English midfielder was sent off in the 39th minute during Real Madrid’s La Liga clash against Osasuna after reportedly saying, “F*** you” to the official.

After the match, Bellingham denied insulting the referee, stating, “I never insulted the referee. I’m glad there are videos to show the reality despite what the referee’s report says.”

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti also backed his player’s claim, he stated. “I think the referee did not understand Jude Bellingham’s English. He said ‘f** off,’ not ‘f*** you’—that’s very different,”* Ancelotti explained. “I won’t say more about the referee because I want to be on the bench next week.”

Real Madrid are set to appeal the RFEF’s decision, hoping to overturn the suspension.

If the ban stands, Bellingham will miss crucial fixtures against Girona and Real Sociedad.
