The internal crisis lingering on the legitimacy of PDP National Secretary between Senator Samuel Anyanwu and Rt. Hon Sunday Udeh Okoye has been put to end by all PDP legitimate organs with PDP National Legal Adviser’s Counsel to PDP Acting National Chairman Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum in an internal memo shared with the public today 10/2/2025.
PDP National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade SAN, has officially issued legal opinion inline with public opinion on the December 20th , 2024, Appeal Court ruling in Enugu and equally adopted Hon. Tanimu Turaki SAN report affirming Rt. Hon Sunday Udeh Okoye as the authentic PDP National Secretary.
According to the PDP National Legal Adviser, the appeal court declarative judgement is binding on all parties involved and that Rt. Hon Sunday Udeh Okoye is the rightful occupant of the office of PDP National Secretary in accordance with the declarative judgement of the Appeal Court.
The adoption of Tanimu Turaki SAN led committee report which PDP Board of Trustees BOT) on Wednesday 5th February, 2025 adopted in its communique at the end of her emergency meeting at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, solidifies authenticity of Rt. Hon Sunday Udeh Okoye as PDP National Secretary without prejudices.
At this point in PDP national Secretary leadership tussle, it is worthy of note that, anyone delaying inauguration of Rt. Hon Sunday Udeh Okoye as PDP National Secretary is perpetuating contempt of Court and clearly disobeying PDP authority to solve her internal disputes with the counsel of her Legal Advisers and BOT unfortunately.
Therefore, all eyes on His Excellency, Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum Acting National Chairman of PDP, to obey the counsel of PDP National Legal Adviser on the issue of PDP National Secretary as PDP BOT advised PDP NWC to immediately inaugurate Rt. Hon Sunday Udeh Okoye as PDP legitimate National Secretary in a communique issued after her emergency meeting on 5th February, 2025.
Nigerians across board are waiting for inauguration of PDP National Secretary Rt. Hon Sunday Udeh Okoye as soon as possible now that all legal counsel on the Appeal Court Judgement and Order to Maintain Status Quo Ante Bellum has been internally exhausted and aptly explained in the official legal advice to the Acting National Chairman Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum today 10th February, 2025 as anticipated by all well meaning members of PDP and Nigerian democratic society.
Congratulations once again Rt. Hon Sunday Udeh Okoye, as you brace up for your well deserved inauguration on a soon date in line with democratic tenets.
