Lagos Police Command Confirms Controversial Musician Turns Himself In To SCID

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned himself in at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department at Yaba.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this: “Portable just turned himself in at the SCID, Yaba. We have contacted the Ogun State Police Command to come pick him up.”

The Ogun State Police Command insisted the singer remains wanted in connection with an alleged assault on government officials and has a court order issued for his arrest.

The controversial musician was declared wanted after an alleged violent confrontation with three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office, who were unarmed yet assaulted.

Nine of Portable’s associates were reportedly arrested, while the singer fled the scene and since been in hiding.

The police revealed that multiple invitations were sent to Portable, requesting his appearance at the command’s headquarters.

However, the accused had been very active on social media posting different videos, in one of such, he claimed insanity, that he’s a patient at the Ogun State psychiatric hospital known as ‘Aro’, where he regularly visit for his prescriptions, while pleading with Nigerians to come to his aid.
