Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu has reported that Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have expressed interest in signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. Both clubs are reportedly willing to meet his release clause and cover his wages. Manchester United’s head coach, Rúben Amorim, is said to be a big fan of the player.
Osimhen has been directly involved in 22 goals this season for Galatasaray, scoring 17 and providing six assists. Currently on loan at the Turkish club, Galatasaray has shown interest in signing him permanently.
Haber Sari Kirmizi quoted Yağız Sabuncuoğlu as saying, “Victor Osimhen is about to sign a deal with a world-famous management company. In fact, a Real Madrid player is mediating these talks. What does this mean? The possibility of signing with Galatasaray in June has decreased a lot.”
He also added, “PSG and Manchester United have made verbal offers to the player regarding salary and contract length. Both clubs are prepared to meet Napoli’s release clause, making it very difficult for Galatasaray to compete. He is most likely leaving at the end of the season.”
Osimhen’s release clause is reportedly over €75 million, and Napoli is unlikely to sell unless the clause is activated. The striker currently earns around £115,000 per week after tax. It is expected that his salary will increase once he secures a move to a new club.
