Manchester United Fear Lisandro Martínez Could Miss the Rest of the Season

Manchester United fear Lisandro Martínez could be sidelined for the remainder of the season after suffering a suspected knee injury, according to Samuel Luckhurst.

The Argentine defender was stretchered off in the 82nd minute against Crystal Palace, visibly distressed and in tears. The injury occurred following a tackle from Ismaïla Sarr, with Martínez seen screaming in pain before collapsing to the ground.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, United’s head coach Rúben Amorim expressed concern over the situation:

“Licha is really important for us, not just as a football player but as a character, especially in this difficult moment. Now, it’s time to support him, just as he has always supported the team.”

“I think it’s a bad situation. We’ll wait for further assessment from the medical team, but it seems serious.”

Martínez has been one of Manchester United’s standout performers this season. His technical ability, composure on the ball, and defensive contributions have been crucial in both defence and attack.
