Osogbo Federal Constituency – 15/02/2025.

The Member representing Irepodun/Orolu/Olorunda/Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon (Dr.) Adewale Morufu Adebayo GANGARIA has stated that the upcoming Local Government elections scheduled to hold on February, 22nd, 2025 remains sacrosanct.

Gangaria dropped this hint yesterday in ward 5, Osogbo Local Government, during the ward to ward campaign organized by the People’s Democratic Party ahead of the council Polls.

While addressing the mammoth crowd, the lawmaker downplayed the propaganda of the opposition APC in the state in reference to the legality of the proposed council elections, MHR Gangaria said “there is no where any court of competent jurisdiction barred the OSSIEC from going ahead with its constitutional responsibilities of conducting the elections as scheduled”.

He further affirmed; “let me say it without fear of contradiction that, APC is only finding all means possible to ride on to the administration of our local government through illegality and non-existent order, this is nothing but a fiction of their imagination, it won’t ever be possible”.

“Osun State under the administration of His Excellency Sen Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke is very peaceful and as a party, we have a great respect for the rule of law, come next Saturday, we will vote and PDP will win resoundingly”, Gangaria maintained.

Other Party leaders who spoke in the same vain at the rally include the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs, Alhaji Muniru Adebayo Raji, Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government affairs, Hon Goddey Olije, Alhaji Liadi Adesola Gbadamosi, Baba Rafiu Jimoh, Pa Amusa Raji, Leader Laboye among others.

They opined that election remains the only recognized means through which the people can willfully choose their leaders, and any attempt to circumvent this globally accepted route in a democratic dispensation will not stand.

The Party’s flag bearer in Osogbo Local Government, Hon Taye Akande Alese in his address on behalf of his running mate and all the 15 Councillorship candidates, encouraged the good people of Ward 5 and Osogbo Local Government to speak through their PVC again and vote for the PDP, a party that is capable of bringing sustainable growth and development to the grassroot.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osogbo Local Government, Hon Ajibola Asimiyu ‘Baba Isila’ lauded the party leaders and members for their loyalty and patriotism and most significantly, for sustaining a very positive tempo going into the elections.

Also present at the rally include; The immediate past caretaker Chairman, Osogbo West LCDA, Hon Mojeed Obafemi Osaka, his counterpart from Olorunda North LCDA, Hon Samuel Ayodele Adeyemo, Hon Olaitan Oladimeji, MD/CEO Mars-salam Energy Services Ltd, Alh Yisa Kolawole Bello, a prominent party leader from from Orolu Local Government, Hon Omowonuola Buruji kashamu, just to mention but a few.
