Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest footballers who had turned 40 on Wednesday appreciated his families, friends and fans alike for all the messages and wishes.
Ronaldo who remains the highest goal scorer in football history, with 922 career goals in a post on social media revealed he couldn’t have wished for more.
The footballer has posted pictures he took with his wife, family and friends alongside a pot that read: “Thank you all for the amazing birthday messages! Had a great day with family and friends, couldn’t wish for anything better.”
The 40-year-old has played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, and is currently playing for Al-Nassr. He has captained Portugal’s national team since July 2008.
Over his illustrious career, he has won 33 major trophies. His personal accolades include five Ballon d’Or titles, 21 top scorer awards, one Puskás Award, and three FIFA The Best Men’s Player awards.
