The Brazilian Football Federation is considering a managerial change following a 4-1 loss against Argentina, putting Dorival Júnior’s position under review.
According to GE Globo, Carlo Ancelotti remains the dream appointment for the Brazilian federation, though negotiations have not yet begun.
Ancelotti was linked to the Brazil job in 2023 but chose to remain with Real Madrid. During his current tenure, Los Blancos have won two Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, and one Copa del Rey trophy.
Ancelotti’s contract with Real Madrid runs until June 30, 2026, but his position may be at risk if the club fails to win any trophies this season.
The Brazilian FA hopes things will work in their favor, allowing Ancelotti to take charge of the national team for the remainder of the qualifiers and the 2026 World Cup.
