Elon Musk, the CEO of Telsa, SpaceX, and Twitter has condemned the song being sang by Julius Malema the founder and leader of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) on Human Right day at the Sharpeville Center, in remembrance of the Sharpeville massacre on March 21 1960, the day apartheid police killed 69 peaceful anti-apartheid protesters in the township.
“Sharperville was not just massacre. It was a declaration of war by the apartheid regime against the black majority. It was a moment that exposed the true brutality of white minority rule to the entire world,” Malema said.
However Musk criticized the song being chanted at the center “Kill the Boer/White farmer”, which he claimed it’s to promote white genocides in the country, even though the courts have explicitly ruled it to be symbolic political speech rather than literal incitement to violence.
Musk who was born in Pretoria, South Africa in 1971 pointed out that the South African government recently passed a law enabling the seizure of white-owned land without compensation and implies racial discrimination against one of his companies ‘Starlink,’ getting its license to operate in the country as well.
Starlink is a satellite constellation system designed to provide global, high-speed, low-latency internet access.
The Telsa CEO in a post on X, former Twitter over the weekend stated: “Very few people know that there is a major political party in South Africa that is actively promoting white genocide. The video below was just yesterday.
“A whole arena chanting about killing white people. A month ago, the South African government passed a law legalizing taking property from white people at will with no payment.
“Where is the outrage? Why is there no coverage by the legacy media?
“Starlink can’t get a license to operate in South Africa simply because I’m not black. How is that right?” he queried.
The EFF leader during the address on Human Rights Day further urged the people not to be scared of Musk, who is also a close ally to the U.S president and has constantly voice that the blacks hate the whites’ South Africans.
In his words: “We must never be intimidated by Elon Musk and everybody who stand with him, all those who are offered an opportunity to go to America because there is a genocide against them in South Africa, you are free to go.
“The borders are opened for racists to leave South Africa, we have no home for racists in South Africa, our friends will never be United Kingdom, our friends will never be France, our friends will never be USA, they were never there for us during difficult times, and Palestine was there for us.” Malema stressed
He affirmed his party would not associate itself with the “nonsense” of non-racialism associated with the day.
“Today is the day in which we continue the fight for rights of black people, and we must not make any apology about that.
“This nonsense of non-racialism they are spreading in defense of white privilege, we are not part of that nonsense,” said Malema.
