Newcastle United Plans to Relocate to New 65,000-Capacity Stadium

Newcastle United are planning to leave St James’ Park to move into a new 65,000-capacity stadium.

The club has played at St James’ Park for 133 years, a stadium that has witnessed many iconic moments.

According to the Daily Mail, the United Kingdom government is expected to grant Newcastle permission to relocate from St James’ Park to Leazes Park. The proposed stadium is expected to create job opportunities and boost the city’s economy. It will be located in the city centre.

Fans will undoubtedly miss St James’ Park, which has hosted the club’s triumphs, including four First Division titles, six FA Cups, and European nights, most recently in 2024.

While the departure from St James’ Park will be emotional, the new stadium will accommodate 13,000 more fans, increasing the club’s growth and revenue.
