Governor of Abia State Alex Otti, The 2023 Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi and other south east leaders, and prominent socio-political leaders to pay their last respects to the late Prof. Humphrey Nwosu, former chairman of the defunct National Electoral Commission.
He was laid to rest in his hometown, Ajali, Orumba North LGA, Anambra State.
Prof. Nwosu conducted the June 12, 1993 election, that was annulled by Gen. Ibrahim Babangida and he did all he could to defend it but the National Electoral Commission was dissolved just when he went to court.
