A 20-year-old Instagram and OnlyFans model Gabriella Zuniga, filed the lawsuit claiming Shannon Sharpe sexually assaulted her during their relationship.

Sharpe and his legal team have denied the allegation, releasing a series of text messages from Zuniga that they argue undermine her credibility.

Zuniga is seeking $50M compensation, while the Pro Football Hall of Famer calls it a shakedown, claiming the encounter was consensual and orchestrated by her lawyer, Tony Buzbee.

Sharpe says a 30-second audio clip was manipulated and a full video would prove his case. He plans to sue for defamation.

Civil lawsuits in sexual assault cases, like the one against Shannon Sharpe, often seek compensation for damages such as emotional distress, which criminal cases don’t offer.
