The two, crossed imaged in red are hammers, similar to the Greek Thor’s is called OSÉ SÀNGÓ.
It symbolises Sango olukoso, god of thunder in Yoruba culture. A royal ancestor of the Yoruba as he was the third Alaafin of the Oyo Kingdom and he is known for his powerful double hammer as seen on the crown.
Sango, is a deity in Yoruba land and the father of every Alaafin, he held one of osé sàngó in his hand , it was his weapon for commanding thunder and fire.
It is a physical proof of his authority and power.
