Allegri Returns to AC Milan After 11 Years

Massimiliano Allegri is set to return to AC Milan after an 11-year absence, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed. The decision was made following a meeting between Allegri and the club’s new sporting director, Igli Tare.

Allegri previously managed Milan from 2010 to 2014, during which he won the Scudetto and the Italian Super Cup. He will sign a three-year contract with the club, which will see him earn five million euros per season, plus an additional two million euros in bonuses.

He returns at a challenging time for Milan, with the club having missed out on European competition and gone through two managerial changes in quick succession. Allegri brings a wealth of experience and will be hoping to use that to help turn the club’s fortunes around.

With AC Milan set to compete only in the league and Italian Cup next season, Allegri may benefit from having more time to work closely with his players and implement his ideas.
