Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a significant blow ahead of the UEFA Europa League final, with Swedish midfielder Dejan Kulusevski ruled out due to injury.
Kulusevski sustained a right patella injury during their recent Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace. The 24-year-old has since undergone surgery and has already begun his rehabilitation process.
Speaking on the setback, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou said: “Initially, we thought it wasn’t too serious, but it blew up the day after. He’s had the surgery, which will put him out for at least a few months.”
The North London side also has worries over the fitness of James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall, who are both doubts for the final against Manchester United due to injury concerns.
