Don Carlo Ancelotti Bows Out Of Real Madrid With Loud Ovations As Its Most Decorated Coach In History

Real Madrid have announced the departure of Don Carlo Ancelotti, its most decorated coach in history as the 2034-25 season comes to an end.

The 65-year-old Italian will officially take charge of Brazil on 26 May after announcing his signing to coach the Selecao, which is a one-year contract that will take him through the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Real Madrid boss achieved a tough feat when he  won the Champions League more times than any other manager in the competition’s history making him the most successful coach in the history of the competition. He won two titles with AC Milan (2003, 2007) and three with Real Madrid (2014, 2022, 2024). 

Former Real, Liverpool and Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso, 43, is set to replace Ancelotti in the Bernabeu hot seat. Alonso announced last Friday he was leaving German side Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season and Real are said to want him in place before the start of next month’s Club World Cup.

The greatest and successful manager of Real Madrid known for his best man management in a post on twitter pen a farewell notes to the football word in Italian stating: “Today we part ways again. Today I carry again in my heart every moment lived in this wonderful second stage as Real Madrid’s coach.

“These have been unforgettable years, an incredible journey full of emotions, titles, and, above all, the pride of representing this badge.

“Thanks to President Florentino Pérez, the club, my players, my staff, and, above all, this unique fanbase that has always made me feel like one of them.

“What we have achieved together will remain forever in the memory of madridismo, not only for the triumphs but for the way we achieved them.

“The magical nights at the Bernabéu are now part of football history. Now a new adventure begins, but my bond with Real Madrid is eternal.

“Until soon, madridistas. Hala Madrid y Nada Más.” He added

The highlight will be this weekend at the Santiago Bernabeu, when Carletto alongside Luka Modric will say goodbye during the Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad match, bringing to a close a highly successful era in Madrid.
