Liverpool Submits Record-Breaking Bid for Florian Wirtz

Liverpool have submitted a club-record offer of £135 million for German international Florian Wirtz, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.

It is the highest bid in the club’s history, surpassing the amount they paid Benfica for Darwin Núñez in 2022 (£85 million including add-ons).

Wirtz has reportedly turned down a move to Bayern Munich, as he is keen on joining Liverpool. The 22-year-old is said to be very eager to make the switch to Anfield.

The attacking midfielder has scored 57 goals and provided 65 assists for Bayer Leverkusen. He is already a full German international and widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in European football.
