Manchester United in Pole Position to Sign Relegated English Striker

Manchester United are reportedly leading the race to sign English talent Liam Delap this summer, according to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol.

Delap is considered one of the most exciting prospects on the transfer market, with Chelsea and Newcastle also expressing interest in the young forward.

It has been confirmed that the 22-year-old will leave Ipswich Town following the club’s relegation from the Premier League. Delap recorded 12 goals and two assists in the league — an impressive return for a player in a side that struggled offensively.

The striker has a release clause of £30 million, a fee that several clubs are willing to meet.

Sources indicate that Delap wants to join the Red Devils, even if they miss out on UEFA Champions League qualification, as he still views them as one of the biggest clubs in world football.
