Ogun State Appoints Segun Odegbami As Grand Sports Ambassador

“We are proud to announce the appointment of Chief Segun Odegbami as the Grand Sports Ambassador of Ogun State ahead of the Gateway Games 2024. His legacy and leadership in Nigerian sports reflect the values we aim to showcase during this prestigious National Sports Festival.

“As hosts, we are finalizing world-class facilities at venues like the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium and the Alake Sports Centre. This event is more than a competition, it is a platform for national unity, youth development, and the growth of our sports economy. For the first time, all contingents will be housed in a dedicated Games Village, fostering unity and collaboration.

“Our preparations extend beyond sports. We’ve strengthened infrastructure, security, and logistics to ensure a seamless experience for athletes and visitors. This investment aligns with our vision to position Ogun State as a destination for major national and international events.

“We thank the Federal Government, our private sector partners, and the Guild of Sports Editors for their support. With your partnership, we are confident the Gateway Games 2024 will be unforgettable and set new standards for future festivals.” Governor Dapo Abiodun
