Jessica Pegula suffered a shocking Round of 16 defeat at the Internationaux de Strasbourg, falling to Russia’s Anna Kalinskaya.

Pegula had taken the opening set 6-4, but Kalinskaya mounted an impressive comeback, claiming the second set 6-4 before racing to a 3-0 lead in the final set and sealing it 6-2 to complete the upset.

Kalinskaya will now face Danielle Collins in the quarterfinals. Collins  came from behind to defeat British tennis star Emma Raducanu.

Collins has played Kalinskaya twice and has won on both occasions.
