Peter Obi: “I accompanied the remains of this great Nigerian and former leader of PANDEF to his first port of call in the Niger Delta—Yenagoa, Bayelsa State—where his body was received by former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, leaders of the Ijaw National Congress and PANDEF, as well as several other dignitaries.
“Chief Clark was a leader — a moral force, a man of truth and courage, deeply committed to justice, unity, and equity. Pa Clark lived and spoke for Nigeria. He stood for what was right, regardless of tribe or religion. He spoke truth to power, often at personal risk and discomfort.
“As we say goodbye to this great patriot, the best way to honour his memory is not just with tributes, but with action. Let us build a Nigeria where truth is spoken, justice is upheld, and leadership is anchored in service and sacrifice.
“May his soul rest in peace, and may his life continue to inspire us all to do what is right for Nigeria.
