Newly released body cam reveals that Timothy Randall was shot just 1 minute into routine traffic stop—he had no weapon, his hands up, and was running away.
It took 2 years—and a federal lawsuit—before Wendy Tippitt was able to see the police video that captured the fatal shooting of her 29-year-old son.
“The only person that was attacking anybody was Sgt. Iversen attacking my son,” Wendy Tippitt said.
Sgt. Shane Iversen of the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office was the deputy who shot and killed her son.
He quietly retired after the shooting and fought in court to keep the video from being made public.
