Al Fateh Show Interest in CAF Champions League Top Scorer Fiston Mayele

Democratic Republic of Congo international Fiston Mayele is attracting strong interest from Saudi Pro League side Al Fateh. The Saudi club, who finished 10th in the league last season with 39 goals, are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Mayele, who was the golden boot winner in the CAF Champions League last season, played a pivotal role in Pyramids FC’s historic title win—scoring in both the semi-final and the final of the competition, Africa’s most prestigious club tournament.

According to reports, Pyramids FC are demanding a $3 million transfer fee for the 30-year-old striker. However, Al Fateh consider the valuation to be too high, and negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs in hopes of reaching a compromise.

Mayele, who has one year left on his current contract and has refused to sign an extension, is said to be open to the move after speaking with Al Fateh’s head coach, Slaven Bilić, about the club’s project.
