Flight Lieutenant Kafayat Omolara Sanni is Nigeria’s first female fighter pilot, decorated in 2019 after training in the U.S. She flies the Alpha Jet and Super Mushshak, serving as an instructor pilot.

On June 20, 2025, she won Best Allied Student and Best Assistant Commandant Paper at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Accra, outperforming peers.
