A helicopter crash-landed near a restaurant in Livingston County, Michigan, sparking panic among nearby diners but miraculously leaving all occupants unharmed, according to early reports from local authorities.
According to reports, the incident occurred at Cabana Blue in Clay Township, after a privately owned helicopter attempted to land on a vacant lot adjacent to the restaurant along Anchor Bay.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has since confirmed that a Robinson R44 helicopter was involved and that a full investigation into the cause of the crash is underway. Mechanical failure is suspected, but officials have not ruled out pilot error.
