Jack Grealish is reportedly set to leave Manchester City this summer following his exclusion from the squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The England international has struggled to make an impact this season, featuring in just 20 Premier League matches—only seven of which were starts. He registered one goal and one assist in the competition. His Champions League campaign was similarly underwhelming, with six appearances, four starts, and one goal.
The FA Cup was the only tournament Grealish impressed, playing in nearly every round, expect the final where he warmed the bench all through.
He was signed from Aston Villa in 2021 for £100 million, Grealish played a key role in Manchester City’s historic treble-in 2023. However, his recent performances appears to have affected both his international career.
The 29-year-old was left out of England’s squad for recent fixtures against Senegal and Andorra by manager Thomas Tuchel.
Being omitted from City’s Club World Cup squad is a clear sign that he is no longer in Pep Guardiola’s plans. This means Grealish is expected to continue his career somewhere else.
He is reportedly attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, also teams in Italy and Saudi Arabia.
