Saudi Arabia Changes The Cover Of The Kabah To Mark The Beginning Of The Islamic New Year.

This tradition involves removing the old black silk cloth embroidered with gold and silver threads and installing a newly crafted Kiswah made from 47 pieces of silk weighing about 1,415 kilograms.

The replacement ceremony, carried out by a skilled team of over 150 experts, now takes place on the first day of Muharram, the beginning of the Hijri calendar year, symbolizing renewal and devotion in Islam.
