Trent Alexander-Arnold Unveil As Real Madrid Player, Chooses ‘Trent’ As Kit Name

Trent Alexander-Arnold has officially been unveiled to Real Madrid fans at Valdebebas.

The England international has signed a contract with Los Blancos that runs until 2031. He will wear the number 12 jersey, with his kit name simply reading “Trent.”

Speaking on the decision to go with “Trent” as his shirt name, he explained:

“My kit name being only ‘Trent’? It’s an easy explanation. When I travel to Europe, the three-name situation is very confusing to people. People call me Arnold, Alex, Trent… I thought, let’s make it simple. Just Trent.”

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez  addressed the crowd during the unveiling ceremony, stating:

“Dear Trent Alexander-Arnold, welcome to Real Madrid. We are once again living a very important day because a player who has won everything and marked an era at one of the most prestigious clubs in the world—Liverpool—is coming to Real Madrid. Now he wants to continue writing his love story with football at Real Madrid. You could have chosen any club in the world, but you chose us, and no one will forget that.”

Trent described joining the Spanish giants as a dream come true. He said:

“Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you both to President Florentino Pérez and Real Madrid for this opportunity. I am very happy and proud to be here; it is a dream come true.

“I’m ready to give my all for the team and the Madridistas. I really want to show my game and be a champion. Thank you, and Hala Madrid!”
