Carlos Alcaraz cruised past Cameron Norrie to seal his place in the semi-finals of the Wimbledon Championships. The defending champion dominated the encounter, securing a straight-sets victory 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 in just one hour and 39 minutes.
Speaking to reporters after the match, the two-time Wimbledon winner expressed his satisfaction with the performance.
“I’m really happy. To play another Wimbledon semi-final is super special,” said Alcaraz. “My confidence is really high, I’m feeling great. It was my best match so far in the tournament.”
With the win, Alcaraz extended his unbeaten run to 23 matches and became only the second Spanish player—after Rafael Nadal—to reach the men’s singles semi-finals at Wimbledon on three occasions.
He will now face American Taylor Fritz in the last four. Fritz earned his semi-final ticket with a 6-3, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(4) win over Karen Khachanov. The upcoming match will mark Fritz’s first-ever appearance in a Wimbledon semi-final.
