Another To Learn To Choose Your Battle: Internet Educate Man On Pied Crow, As He’s Yet To Know He Unknowingly Bought Trouble From “Murder”

A group of crow is called ‘murder’. It seems @iretileye have unknowingly bought trouble from pied crow. He tweeted on Monday: ”person mama enter compound yesterday dey shout since 1am make I go carry my bible first,” attaching it with the picture of a crow captured.

The man who has attached spiritual meaning to the bird crowing in his compound at 1a.m had relied someone who asked in the comment section the bible verse he read before capturing the bird’, “Isaiah 54: 17 no take am play” he advised.

However after post the post turned hilarious when @Nightmarichy had stressed that the bird does not belong to any coven and should not be linked to any witchery activities, he wrote: “This is kannakanna eiye ega, it’s not associated with any coven. I’ve been to covens and I know when I see a coven bird.”

And it spiraled down from there with other commenters informing @iretileye he has made mistake while educating him further on the characteristics of a crow one of which is its ability to keep a grudge for as long as 17 years, inability to forgive or forget wrongs done to them and it vengeful nature.

@_kele_Chukwu adviced: “You think you’ve caught an ordinary bird? That’s a Pied Crow one of the smartest animals. It recognises faces, holds grudges, and spreads that hate like family gossip.

“If you allow it to escape your own don be, it will attack whenever it sees you and will pass it to his children.”

@jhon_odey added to the weight: “There used to be crows in my neighborhood. One morning, as I was stepping out, I saw one under a tree where my car was parked. I shouted at it, got scared, and flew away. Seconds later, I saw about five of them return to that tree and start cawing. They cawed and cawed to the extent that I felt so uncomfortable from their sounds that I had to run away. Look, Mr man, you have bought market.”

Pied crows are native to Africa and like other corvids, display high intelligence, including facial recognition and mobbing threats.

They hold grudges, warn their group, and can harass perceived enemies for years, however, If you are kind to a crow,  that one will tell others about you and they will soon start coming around you/your house. But it’s not to attack/harass you- just to sort of show gratitude for the kindness.
