Barcelona have reached an agreement with Manchester United for Marcus Rashford. It will be a loan deal with a buy option clause, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano. Rashford is expected to travel to Spain for his medical, and the deal is set to be officially announced next week.
Personal terms were never an issue, as Rashford has always envisioned himself in Barça’s colours. The club’s coach, Hansi Flick, was also keen on having him onboard.
The move represents a life-changing opportunity in Rashford’s career, as it is clear he no longer has a future at Manchester United. He joined United at the age of seven and played in all of the club’s youth systems until making his senior debut at the age of 18. He scored a brace in both his European debut against Midtjylland and his Premier League debut against Arsenal.
The England international made 443 appearances for United, scoring 142 goals and providing 83 assists.
