EFCC Storms Bauchi, Arrests 32 Internet Scammers With Gun, Car, Gadgets

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 32 suspected internet fraudsters in Bauchi State during a coordinated raid led by the agency’s Gombe Zonal Command.

The disclosure was made in a statement posted on the commission’s official Facebook handle on Monday.

The statement said the suspects were arrested in Sabon Kaura and Gwalameji areas of Bauchi, Bauchi State capital, following credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.

According to the statement, the suspects will be charged in court after investigations.

“Operatives of the Gombe Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, July 25, 2025, arrested 32 suspected internet fraudsters.

“They were arrested in Sabon Kaura and Gwalameji areas of Bauchi, Bauchi State capital, following credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.”

The statement equally listed recovered items, including “Nine Samsung mobile phones, 15 iPhones, one Infinix phone, three Redmi phones, two iPads, one Peugeot 406 car, two PlayStation 4, one PlayStation 5, four Neonx Auto bikes, eight laptop computers, one Maxi E50KWH generator and one pistol.”

This operation is part of the EFCC’s ongoing commitment to curb digital crime and protect Nigeria’s cyberspace from abuse by criminal networks.
