Lagos Traditional Rulers Seek Increased Funding from State Government

The traditional rulers in Lagos State have made a united appeal to the state government to review their monthly allocations and sitting allowances upward. They also demanded a statutory share of local government revenue .

Oba Abdul-Rasheed Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, presented the monarchs’ request during a three-day retreat organized by the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, held at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja.
