Nigerian President Tinubu Gives Report On Saint Lucia Visit, Says His Administration Is Ready Nurture Bilateral Relationships.

President Tinubu: “A short while ago, I addressed a special joint session of the Senate and the House of Assembly of Saint Lucia. As a firm believer in building bridges, I hold the view that Africans and people of African origins everywhere have a shared destiny; hence, we must come together, get organised, and work towards a glorious future.

“My visit to Saint Lucia is in keeping with the ideal of building the bridge between Africa and the Caribbean and creating a pathway to deepen economic ties and foster mutual cooperation. It also reflects our desire as a people to advance prosperity, sustainable development, and strengthen familial bonds.

“Nigeria and the island of Saint Lucia are bound by history, culture, and common aspirations. Our administration is determined to nurture and expand bilateral relations on trade, investment, tourism, education, and cultural exchange, as well as improve consular services for the citizens of both our nations.

“I thank Prime Minister Philip J Pierre @PhilipJPierreLC, Governor-General Cyril Charles, the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), and the people of Saint Lucia for their warm hospitality. It has been a great honour. As they say in Kwéyòl, Mèsi anpil. Thank You very much.

“Nigeria remains committed to working hand in hand with our brothers and sisters in the Caribbean.”
