Sunderland Eye Swiss Midfielder Granit Xhaka

Sunderland are exploring a move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka. Xhaka has three years left on his Leverkusen contract and could be allowed to leave this summer.

Sunderland face competition from Saudi Arabian side NEOM FC. The newly promoted club has already spent £95 million this summer. If Sunderland can pull this off, it would be a massive signing. Xhaka is no stranger to the Premier League, having previously played for Arsenal.

The Swiss international has made 99 appearances for Leverkusen, scoring six goals and providing nine assists. He was part of the squad that won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double last season.
