The US Senate Passes President Trump’s $9 Billion Rescissions Act

The U.S. Senate has passed a $9 billion rescissions package initiated by President Donald Trump, which includes significant cuts to funding for NPR, PBS, and various foreign aid program.

The vote, held early Thursday, resulted in a 51-48 decision, with Vice President JD Vance casting the decisive vote.

It targets wasteful foreign aid programs that don’t serve America’s interest, as well as NPR and PBS.
